Economy British Standard First Aid Kits
BS 8599 First Aid Kits.
During 2011 The British Standards Insitute published BS-8599-1: 2011 Workplace First Aid Kits. This is the first British standard specifying the contents of workplace First Aid Kits. This clearly establishes a standard for workplace first aid provisions and the contents of the new kits are more aligned with today's worplace risks and First Aid needs.
What Kit is required?
Employers are required to make a risk assessment as to the level of hazards in their workplace and combining this with the number of employees, appropriate kits should be selected.
