TYVEK® 500 HOOD

High-performance protective hood designed to provide enhanced protection for areas most exposed to hazardous substances. Available in white and one size, this hood features a flange with an elasticated face and neck for a secure and comfortable fit.

The Tyvek® 500 Hood is specially crafted for use with Tyvek® apparel, offering an additional layer of protection for workers in demanding environments. Made from flash-spun high-density polyethylene, Tyvek® provides a perfect balance of protection, durability, and comfort. The material is breathable, allowing air and moisture vapour to pass through while repelling water-based liquids and aerosols. It also offers an excellent barrier against fine particles and fibres, down to 1 micron in size, and is treated to be ultra-low-linting and antistatic, with no added silicon.

Ideal for a variety of applications, including pharmaceutical handling, chemical protection, lead and asbestos abatement, general maintenance, spray painting, and clean-up operations, the Tyvek® 500 Hood is versatile and reliable.

Certified according to Regulation (EU) 2016/425, this hood meets stringent safety standards for partial body chemical protective clothing, Category III, Type PB [6-B]. It also complies with EN 14126, providing a barrier to infective agents, and features antistatic treatment (EN 1149-1) on both sides for added safety.
